Description:
This class for those that wish to continue their one-on-one interaction with those that have emotional and spiritual needs. This course is focused toward survivors and evacuates of disasters and is a good course for Pastors, Stephens Pastors, and those that may have an interest in this area.
Care Ministry Teams (“Care Teams”) are faith-based, ongoing teams that provide spiritual and emotional care following disasters. Working closely with their conference disaster response committee, Care Teams help disaster survivors connect with the spiritual, emotional, and basic life resources within themselves and their communities.
Class Length:
Field Operations- initial 3 hrs, 8:30-12:00 Saturday
Lunch available onsite 12:00-1:30 Saturday for $5.00 included in base cost
Field Operations- second 3 hrs . 1:00-4:00 Saturday
Cost::
- Criminal background check-$10 (Acceptable alternates are presentation of Red Cross DSHR ID, recent criminal background check, safe sanctuary certification at site registration)
