The Caring Ministry is new and is still under development in
the North Georgia Conference. Some guidance is provided by
UMCOR via their document "A Ministry of Caring, Spiritual
and Emotional Care in Disaster Response". Some of the
sections include:

The course is one of several that UMCOR provides
periodically at their Sager Brown Distribution
Center.
There is another program that focuses on CISM (Crisis
Intervention Stress Management). It is a four-course
training with each course taking a full day.
Two people in the Conference have been assigned
