Food and Supplies Transported from Texarkana to Pasadena

On Thursday, Sept 17, Dr. Danny Wayman and Jonathan Wayman brought a truck with pallets of water, MRE’s (meals, ready to eat) and ice to Pasadena from Williams Memorial UMC in Texarkana . They located at the Golden Acres United Methodist church at about 2:00 PM and with the help of members of Golden Acres UMC and participants in the new church start Hope Community UMC more than 4 pallets of water, and 2400 MRE’s along with 1500 lbs of ice were distributed to persons who had been without ice or power since last Friday.

In addition Rev. Jack Womack , Kathy Womack, Doug Larson, Sam Shurtleff and his daughter, Sheldon Chapman, Alan Duncan and his wife Betty, Shawn and Charles Carter and their daughter Elizabeth dispensed the products in about 2 hours. People were very grateful and the process was orderly and peaceful.
